Dr. Anthony "Ant" Thornton brings decades of engineering leadership, military service, and community dedication to fight for the families of the East Mountains.


Meet Your Candidate
As the son of a career-enlisted Air Force man, Ant became enchanted by flight and dreamed of a career in aviation. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in aerospace engineering, earned his Master's from Stanford, and his Ph.D. from Purdue.
Spending 27 years at Sandia National Laboratories, he became the first Black American Director in Sandia's history. He received the Professional Achievement in Industry National 2001 Black Engineer of the Year Award.
Dr. Thornton and his wife Glenna live in the East Mountains of Albuquerque where they are active in their local community and church. He also spent 7 years as a Naval Reservist.

Reforming Gross Receipts Tax code and completely eliminating state taxes on social security and military pensions for all retirees.

Bipartisan support for crypto innovation, clear and sensible regulations that foster innovation while protecting investors and consumers.
